Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Training Specialist

This position will be a part of the Human Resources team who support all areas of the workforce within Hackley Community Care (HCC). This position holds primary responsibility to guide the organization in its ongoing journey of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. In addition, the position is responsible for working with HCC Leadership to research, develop and implement organizational training programs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Responsible to guide the DEI efforts and initiatives of HCC and recommends strategies for continuous improvement to DEI initiatives. Specific activities include:

  • Coordinate the development of DEI Strategic Plan
  • Coordinate activities that recognize and celebrate diversity.
  • Establish company-wide work groups in support of DEI.
  • Research and recommend DEI educational training opportunities.
  • Execute DEI surveys and maintain measurable outcomes and metrics.
  • Analyze data, policies, and procedures.
  • Work with the HR recruiting team to design and execute recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds.
  • Represents HCC within the community and participates in various community events, activities, and committees. Engages with and collaborates with community partners and HCC Leadership and staff in DEI initiatives.
  • Works with HCC Leaders to research and evaluate training programs, platforms, and systems. This work includes executing organizational training programs, tracking, and reporting on progress and ensuring that the organization is compliant with training requirements.
  • Individuals play a key role in developing, executing, and monitoring new employee training and executing employee evaluation systems and training processes.
  • Manage employee evaluation process and training.
  • Serves on the HR team and supports all HR-related functions of the organization.

Job Qualifications:

  • Background in human resources with strong knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment with direct experience in supporting organizational DEI efforts preferred.
  • Ability to highly demonstrate the values of HCC – quality, integrity, respect, and compassion; support and engage staff at all levels; and embrace a diverse and inclusive culture that represents transparency, integrity, and respect.
  • Exceptional communication skills: interactive, listening, verbal, presentations and written.
  • Approachable and collaborative with demonstrated ability to build both internal and external relationships and communicate effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Pro-actively takes ownership of initiatives and meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment; ability to develop and execute plans and strategies; successfully function both independently and within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills and demonstrated ability to move forward multiple projects.
  • An elevated level of technology skill including Office Suite programs and expertise in healthcare training programs preferred.
