Position Purpose:
The position performs the processing of vehicle registrations. Handles the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles. Verifies costs for the accounting department, including equipment add-ons.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will titled.
- Prepares title documents verity customer’s purchase agreement.
- Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles on a daily basics.
- Verifies the funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid before processing title.
- Maintains a system to verify out-of-state-titles.
- Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work.
- Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles.
- Reconciles DMV schedule weekly, following up on titles.
- Processes yearly renewal of dealer rentals and company vehicles.
- Maintains inventory of in-house plates and sticker.
- Stays abreast of title regulations. Attends seminars held by local licensing bureaus and available training on title regulations.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years experience required
- High School Diploma or higher
- Self-motivated and diligent.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
- Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor.
- Must have good work ethic including maintaining a neat work area.
Salary/Pay Range: $25 - $30/Hour
