Position Summary:

The driver is responsible for ensuring the safe transport of individuals served in the OPTIONS Shoreline Social Club program along with other transportation duties.

Accountable and responsible for the following results:

  • Represents the organization and provides a professional and positive relationship with clients.
  • Transport clients to and from Options and any out trips.
  • Pick up donations for the Branford Clothing Bank and for MSP on Fridays.
  • Obey all traffic laws and follow BHcares policies related to vehicle operation and accident reporting.
  • Report any significant behavioral changes or exacerbation of symptoms in members to the appropriate supervisor, manager, or clinical leader.
  • Inspect vehicles gas, oil, water, etc. before departure.
  • Report any maintenance related issues or potential issues to supervisor in a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid CT drivers license if relocated to CT as a state resident more than 30 days ago. Must maintain an acceptable driving record and be insurable at a reasonable rate under the Organizations auto insurance plan.
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Service License.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.

LICENSURE/ CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification. Public Service License required.
