This is a great opportunity to join our team providing Medical Transport to our clients in the Hampton roads area. You will be driving our vehicle and picking up and dropping off our members to/from medical appointments.

Responsibilities

• Drives a specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons to varied destinations.
• Assures wheelchairs are properly secured in the vehicle and participants are delivered to appointments in a timely manner.
• Follows established schedules, adjusts schedules to meet unanticipated changes, and determines the safest and most efficient pick-up and delivery routes.
• Assists passengers on and off the van in a safe and courteous manner.
• Inspects van and maintain it in a clean, orderly, and safe condition before and after each pick-up/drop-off
• The driver must exhibit exceptional customer service to patients, families, case managers, facilities, physicians, and nurses.
• Completes driver log each time the vehicle is used. Keep an accurate record of all facility transports, mileage, and times.
• Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with geriatric individuals including those with cognitive decline and/or physical frailties

Qualifications

• Must be able to hear staff/clients on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff
• Valid VA Driver's License and a clean driving record
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and operate handicap-accessible vehicles.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

• Williamsburg, VA 23188: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred)
• Delivery driver experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Driving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
