Full Time positions are 36 hours per week and have a starting hourly wage of $15.04/hour.

Direct Support Professional positions are responsible for maintaining an environment which encourages and facilitates optimal personal development and provides person directed services while ensuring the health and safety of the people supported.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Plan and coordinate daily activities.
  • Act as an advocate for people receiving support from the agency.
  • Provide person-directed services.
  • Complete assessments and compile baseline data as assigned.
  • Support people so they may be included and participate in their community.
  • Respect the person’s right to privacy and confidentiality by appropriate use of written and verbal communication.
  • Work collaboratively with others to ensure the person’s health and wellbeing.
  • Ensure emergency medical procedures are followed and consult with the medical chain of command when necessary.
  • Report and document all medical concerns the person may have to the appropriate personnel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Exhibits conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility.
  • Functions successfully with general supervision.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and prioritize multiple assignments with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships and work in a team environment to meet team and company goals.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information. This includes medical, financial, and personal information of associates and persons served.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, computers, and medical equipment.
  • Works a schedule which will include evenings, weekends, and overnight hours.
  • Works a flexible schedule agreed upon with management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma, GED, or an acceptable TABE test score is required.
  • Non-site-based programs require one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities or an Associate’s degree in Human Services or related field.
