The Nurturing Nook is looking to add Early Childhood Teachers to our already amazing team. The ideal candidate would be passionate, enthusiastic and have high-energy. Our well established program is growing and looking for dedicated, team oriented early childhood professionals who believe in our mission to join our team.

Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized care, attending to each child's specific needs such as holding, comforting, feeding, diapering, etc.
• Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development and physical health. Maintain records of this information on children's daily sheets and in their portfolios.
• Create lesson plans based on observations and goals for the children.
• Provide activities throughout the day to engage the children such as reading, singing songs, performing fingerplays and flannel board stories to large and small groups of children
• Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music and storytelling.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary classroom for children to thrive
• Guide children's behavior in a positive and supporting manner while leading them to increased independence

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate would have knowledge in early childhood education; an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred
• Will consider candidates with previous ECE experience
• Salary is based on educational level and previous experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
