The Early Head Start Child and Family Specialist provides comprehensive early childhood development, parent education, and family support services through a home visitation model to families with children birth to three and expecting mothers. Visits occur once a week for 90 minutes in the family's home. The primary focus of the Child and Family Specialist is to develop a collaborative relationship with families to support them being their child's first and primary educator. The Child and Family Specialist connects families with other community agencies to address health, nutrition, and disabilities services for children and pregnant moms when needed. Great interpersonal skills: flexibility: background in early Childhood Education/Social Work/Child and Family studies or related field. Valid driver's license.
Full-time position/40 hrs. per week. Paid vacation and benefits included.
