Jr. Plant Operator/Plant Operator
The Town of Edgartown seeks a reliable and capable individual for employment at the Wastewater Treatment Facility. Full-time, year-round with benefits; positions are both physically and mentally challenging, requiring regular strenuous labor, mechanical ability and technical aptitude in the operation of the wastewater treatment facility and collection system. Positions are subject to weekend, holiday and night response for emergency and after-hours calls. Overtime and after-hour coverage is scheduled on a rotational basis. Applicants must possess a current valid Massachusetts Driver's License, High School Diploma or equivalent. Must maintain full-time residency on Martha's Vineyard within one year of hire. Candidates for the Plant Operator position must have a current valid MA Grade 4 Wastewater Operator License or higher in addition to above qualifications. Starting hourly wage varies $25.76 for Jr. Plant Operator - $29.77/hr. for Grade IV Plant Operator.
