About This Role
We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of activities related to Environmental, Health & Safety Programs and Training. You may also perform other job related duties as assigned by management and assist with Incident/Accident investigations and root cause analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate plant EH&S activities including, but not limited to, plant audits, training, and awareness and promotion initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including but not limited to OSHA, DEP, EPA, NIOSH, Life Safety 3 Codes, Division and Corporate.
- Identify all training programs required by regulations and ensure they are conducted in a timely manner.
- Work with supervisors to ensure employee adherence to safe behavior guidelines.
- Understand corrective measures and follow up to ensure completion and/or compliance.
- May serve as a member of the Plant EH&S Committee.
- Report EH&S statistical summaries and corporate compliance issues tracking program.
- Address environmental issues and/or Loss Control issues as directed.
- Monitor environmental waste management system and hazardous materials storage.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education:
- Technical training and/or Associate Degree preferred.
Position Requirements:
- Three (3) plus years of experience in Safety or Environmental related activities or related experience
- Trained and able to administer first aid, CPR, and/or use an AED (preferred)
- Working knowledge of OSHA/Environmental regulations and basic knowledge of Ergonomics preferred.
- Basic skills in MS Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; must possess training and presentation abilities/skills.
- Must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
