Triad Engineering Solutions, Inc. is a well-established, multi-discipline consulting engineering firm looking to grow our capabilities. We are seeking an Electrical Designer or Electrical Engineer with experience in power and lighting design to join our team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in new and renovation designs of commercial and light industrial lighting, lighting controls, and power distribution
• Knowledge of NEC and related codes; ability to research code requirements
• Ability to conduct field investigations at the job site
• Proficient in the use of CAD software (AutoCAD preferred)
• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications (email, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to multi-task, coordinate with other team members, and prioritize multiple projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with photometric calculations and software (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (preferred)
• EIT or PE (preferred)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the electrical power and lighting design effort for specific MEP projects involving retail spaces, offices, warehouses, restaurants, etc.
• Interface with clients, architects, and contractors as required throughout the design process
• Conduct site visits as necessary to determine existing conditions
• Assist in the development of design fee proposals
• Develop drawing packages in AutoCAD that typically include power layout, lighting layout, riser diagram, panel schedules, and light fixture schedules
• Review drawing packages developed by other designers and engineers
• Conduct necessary calculations such as voltage drop, conduit fill, and available fault current
• Support project during construction by reviewing submittals, answering RFIs, etc.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior staff members

SALARY:

Range: $45,000 - $110,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
