Overview
An outstanding opportunity exists for the right person to join Mativ Inc. - Neenah Mill team! The incumbent reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for all assigned Electrical Engineering and Controls activities at the Neenah mill site. Responsibilities include providing safe, effective, and efficient engineering and maintenance initiatives and developing and delivering cost improvements, resulting in exemplary organizational performance.
Safety Leadership
Exercise personal leadership to provide an environment that puts a priority on providing a safe and healthy workplace for employees and conforms to applicable local, state, and federal codes and laws governing loss control.

  • Develop and implement programs for safety that will emphasize safety rules and practices and act as a positive role model for employees so that mill objectives are achieved.
  • Actively engage in driving improvement in leading safety indicators.
  • Provide input and information to ensure continuous improvement in proactive safety initiatives.
  • Drive accountability at all levels for adherence to safe work practices.
  • Perform timely and thorough incident investigations with prompt resolution of corrective actions.
  • Ensure that equipment and control system installations and modifications are completed in a safe manner and that proper safety reviews (DSRs) are conducted and loss control risks are addressed.
  • Oversee contractor safe work practices.

Capital Project Execution

  • Development and execute capital projects to support strategic initiatives, reduce costs, and sustain and improve operations from a safety, reliability and environmental standpoint
  • Execute capital projects ensuring successful results and achieving facility objectives
  • Influence project execution to activity support spending targets.
  • Manage 3rd party engineering as utilized to expedite project initiatives.

Facility Support

  • Apply knowledge and skills to be recognized for expertise and guidance in process control systems.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support to the operations and maintenance group
  • Plan and execute annual shutdown activities as assigned.
  • Support the development of the technical skills of the E&I / maintenance group
  • Implements control strategies to improve quality and mill performance.
  • Provide documentation to ensure the retrieval of data and protection of proprietary information.
  • Provide electrical and controls leadership to assist in the maximization of asset TPD, Yield, Uptime, and COM targets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • A minimum of five years of increasing Electrical Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • OR, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
