Becht Engineering BT, Inc. (Becht BT) is currently looking for an Electrical Designer/Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in lighting and power systems for all building types to join our team in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.

Becht BT is made up of Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineers, Project Managers, Construction Inspectors and a talented administrative support team. Our technical staff provides engineering design for all facility types including but not limited to commercial, industrial, healthcare, religious institutions, educational, labs, cleanrooms, and airports. We have offices in Basking Ridge NJ, Point Pleasant Beach NJ, Woodstock MD, Rocky Hill CT, and Mansfield MA however we do business and hold professional licenses in numerous other states.

Candidates will have some or all of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (concentration in electrical design)
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in electrical building design
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with Revit preferred
- Passion for sustainability
- Knowledge of the LEED certification process (LEED Accreditation is a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in some or all of the following project types: education, civic/government, financial services, retail, office, interior renovation, high tech/R&D, mission critical/data centers, and healthcare.
- Creativity and a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking. Able to collaborate in a team setting.
- US Driver’s license is required. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access job site areas that are relevant to each client project.
