In partnership with our client, ResourceTek is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to support the construction of a multi-million dollar capital expansion of manufacturing facilities of a global leader in the steel manufacturing industry in Koppel, PA. This project-based engineering construction support assignment is expected to be 85 – 100+ weeks.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Project Engineering Manager, this role will assist the owner with oversight and management of construction and capital equipment projects. The Electrical Field Engineer will work with the Owner's Project Engineering Team to rebuild and modify a steel manufacturing facility.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Electrical Engineering of electrical building systems and capital equipment related to industrial manufacturing or similar industrial processes.
- Work with outside engineering firms, vendors, and contractors during electrical systems project installations, including startup and commissioning activities.
- Ensure the owner's interests related to construction and installation are protected.
- Act as company representative representing owner's interests prime and sub electrical contractors, vendors, and others when needed.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- A Bachelor level degree in Engineering is highly desired along with 5+ years of proven experience in Electrical Engineering in a construction or industrial environment.
- Previous experience managing industrial construction and capital equipment activities.
- Applicants without a BS in Engineering must have 10-plus years of hands-on, applicable heavy industrial electrical engineering experience.
