Golden Queen Mining Company, LLC (the “Company”) is operating a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore.

The Company is seeking an Electrician for its Soledad Mountain Project (the “Project”) in Mojave. The Electrician will assist in oversight of construction of the site power supply and distribution system and the electrical and control aspects of the crushing and screening plant, conveying and stacking system, Merrill-Crowe recovery plant, assay laboratory and water supply infrastructure, be a part of the commissioning team and then perform the day to day electrical functions during operations.

This position reports to the Electrical General Foreman. This is a safety sensitive position.

• Perform the day to day electrical support for the mine which includes high, medium and low voltage systems.
• Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot the various electrical systems throughout the mine site;
• Perform daily work assignments to support operations;
• Develop and maintain annual grounding/continuity testing program;
• Interpret and understand single line and schematic drawings;
• Update and maintain single line and schematic drawings to document changes;
• Work closely with the various operating departments to develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance (PM) program;
• Assist in developing an electrical spare parts inventory;
• Provide input in the development of the work order system;
• Assists with training of new electricians;

• 5 years of experience in an industrial electrical setting;
• 2 years of experience in PLC and instrumentation programming;
• Experience with high, medium and low voltage electrical systems;
• Experience in troubleshooting motors, motor controls, switchgear, VFD and soft start controls, general wiring and communication wiring;
• Good computer skills preferred;
• Effective communication skills, as well as solid interpersonal and problem solving skills;
• High work standards and a professional presence and
• Must be results-oriented and a solid team member with the ability to drive projects forward with minimal supervision;
• Driver’s license required
• High school diploma or GED
