JOB DESCRIPTION: MECHANIC LEVEL III

Summary Description:
? The Mechanic Level III is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all production equipment and support machinery for the facility. Applies knowledge of mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to intended operation.
Essential Functions:
? Responsible for servicing product and equipment on assigned projects
? Maintenance, repair, and installation of boilers. Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses & repairs bottling and packaging equipment.
? Performs a wide variety of welding work ranging from stainless steel and aluminum of parts and pieces to moving parts in heavy machinery (mic, tig and arc)
? Provide coaching & guidance to other technicians on preventative maintenance task and equipment repairs.
? Performs preventative maintenance, conducts equipment and machinery surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed to improve efficiencies and through-put on given lines.
? Maintains tooling and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear. Makes recommendation for repair and service of machines.
? Documents work by completing CMMS and SAP paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
? Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
? Keeps current all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
? Provides technical support to customers.
? Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

Required Skills and Competencies:
? Previous experience in manufacturing maintenance and machinery repair. or other related fields
? Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
? Posses a strong electrical aptitude and ability to safely troubleshoot electrical systems.
? Knowledge of pneumatics and machining
? Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair motor control circuits.
? Have a working knowledge and show the ability to troubleshoot PLC and Control circuits.
? Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
? Ability to handle physical workload
? Use a Computer and demonstrate the ability communicate both verbally and in written form as it relates to machine and process condition of the line.
? Strong knowledge of hand tools and own basic tools
? Work well with others and be a well-rounded and valued member of the maintenance team.
? Be willing and show the ability to training junior mechanics. Must be willing to become a mentor to Maintenance Helpers and Mechanic Level I personnel.
? Be dependable and able to follow directions
? Ability to be at work on time and stand for long periods of time
? Work in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to work toward both individual and team goals.
? Commitment to quality and accurate work is essential
? Commitment to safety
? Experience with Microsoft Office Operating Systems.

Proficiency Level:
? Possesses working knowledge of subject matter. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff


Education and Experience:
? Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning;
? 3-5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions:
? Physical-Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight.
? Visual/Sensory-This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
? Work environment- Work and environment may be repetitive.
? Mental Stress- There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
