The Employer Operations Specialist (EOS) will work to select, qualify, and place Goodwill clients who match employer requirements for open job opportunities within Goodwill and externally in partnership with First Step Staffing. In addition, the EOS is responsible for proper onboarding, training, and coaching of clients to ensure a successful placement and retention for both the employer and employee.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for demonstrating Goodwill’s values and commitment to promoting career advancement among all persons who seek our services.
  • Serves as the point of contact for current and new temporary and temporary to permanent staffing clients.
  • Recruit, hire, refer, and assist with onboarding of temporary to permanent employment candidates from Goodwill’s client base who meet employer standards regarding screening requirements, job skills, completion of required orientation and training, and level of ability.
  • Develop a recruiting and retention strategy to ensure an adequate candidate database is available to fill internal and external customer needs.
  • Partner internally with Goodwill Retail Managers and externally with First Step Staffing in all aspects of the recruiting, screening, hiring, as well as employee relations, client service delivery, and administrative functions necessary to properly operate.
  • Ensure compliance with background checks, drug screens, assessments, and all needed pre-screening tools, as well as employee files are in compliance.
  • Protect the interests of the organization and its’ employees through proper onboarding and strict management of safety risks and concerns, while executing prompt documentation and response to any safety events or injuries involving employees.
  • Partner with Goodwill Career Development staff to develop clearly defined career pathways that align with temporary and permanent employment opportunities.
  • Assists with the identification and cultivation of external customer agreements in partnership with First Step Staffing.
  • Document all performance-related issues, including job coaching, corrective action, and other employee relations activities.
  • Keep employee records up to date in CRM system.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Education: Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements:

  • Affinity for Goodwill mission.
  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the staffing industry, Human Resources, job development, and/or career placement.
  • Experience communicating with internal and external customers to provide the highest level of service delivery.
  • High level of professionalism, sound business judgment, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and always maintain a sense of urgency.
  • Must have ability to show composure under pressure.
  • Must maintain current knowledge of human resource laws and practices.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of organization personnel and internal/external customers.
  • Must be able to demonstrate or acquire proficiency in using company equipment and software associated with the essential functions listed above.

Interpersonal Relationships: Interacts regularly with other Goodwill employees and clients as well as vendors, community, state, and federal agencies.

Compensation: Based on education and experience.

Working Environment Conditions/Requirements:

  • The ability to push, pull and lift 20lbs. with or without accommodations.
  • Must have access to a vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform all duties relating to Workforce Development including driving, material handling, transporting and carrying documents, handbooks and various supplies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
