Engineer - data centers Job at BHI Energy
BHI is seeking an individual responsible for managing strategy and optimization for enterprise data centers. Individual should be up to speed on all things data center, in addition to process development, optimization and risk management.
Job Responsibilities/Skills
- Responsible for understanding the risk associated with outdated process. This will be more of a planning and development role, less operations.
- Responsible for understanding facility energy use, breakdown in communication issues regarding equipment maintenance as well as other bigger issues.
- Act with a collaborative/influential spirit to help drive progress and change.
- Responsible for understanding process/procedure and has the willingness to help shape the direction of team strategy.
Qualifications / Education / Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of having worked in a data center environment for 8-10 years.- Experience with large companies is preferred.
- Knowledge of different industries would be transferrable; however, an Engineering/facilities design/operation background is preferred.
- Ideal candidate will have experience with data center systems, power distribution, IT equipment placement experience, mechanical systems experience/familiarity, experience evaluating customer bills and data center efficiency and optimization.
