Prerequisites:
Education:B.S. - Chemical/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical/Pulp & Paper Science or a degree in a related field.
Work Experience:This position is an entry level and requires minimal experience in the pulp and paper industry.
Skills:General applied engineering knowledge gained through a Co-Op or Summer intern program and/or industry related work experience.Good written and oral communication skills.
Essential Functions: The essential function of this position include but are not limited to:
1. Provide continuous, daily support for the operating department in the form of troubleshooting, process analysis, operation status through sampling and testing.
2. Improve professional and technical abilities in department systems, policies and procedures through formal training and project participation.
3. Improve personal safety awareness of pulp and paper industry through participation in safety training programs. Improve overall safety of the Mill by providing safety concerns and suggestions for new and existing processes.
4. Build teamwork skills by participating in the team concept.
