ZLA Solutions has a client in Leesburg, AL looking to Direct Hire an Engineering Staff Associate (Electrical Controls) in their Equipment Service Group. First shift hours 6am - 3pm with 2 open positions.
Job Summary
Joining the new Engineering department focusing primarily on Electrical controls and programming with some project management.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Make programming changes to PLCs required for projects
* Review all programming and electrical circuits from all outside TAs
- Modify electrical circuits as necessary for projects
- Programming and teaching of robot changes
- Investigate new technology for improved efficiency at the plant.
- Update all documentation and backups at the line and on the network
- Modify and update CAD drawings
Additional Job Responsibilities
- Local and international travel
- Attend and host meetings
o Study and comprehend Hone and company electrical standards and requirements
- Weekend work and unplanned shift rotation as required by projects
Job Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to do the essential functions of the Electrical Control position.
Extensive knowledge of automation and robotics
Proficient in Mitsubishi PLC programming
Strong knowledge of electrical circuits and controls
Strong knowledge of Fanuc robot programming and teaching
Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office
Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and RIA 15.06 robot standards
Project management
Education/Knowledge
4 Year Automation degree or 2 year Electronics degree preferred Experience
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in automotive welding engineering or maintenance
Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point, Autocad, Catia
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.
Communication
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Leesburg, AL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
