Changing careers after starting your life might not be affordable. Nor can you spend over a year of your life away from your family at an expensive formal Technical School with all the associated tuition debt. Finally, financing all the necessary tools for the job will burden even the strongest family unit physically, financially and in every way you can imagine.

FleeTec Academy was established by Cox Automotive to help people get into the Semi-Trailer Maintenance and repair field and therefore the Academy is a paid educational program. That’s right…. We pay you to go through our program. We provide a paid education on fundamentals of Semi-Trailer service, and how to fix Semi-Trailers along with a set of hand tools and a toolbox to house them all. Now you are on your way to being a part of the next generation of elite Semi-Trailer Technicians out there!

Sounds too good to be true. What’s the catch, right? Here is what we ask from you in return: You must be dedicated to train hard (and we mean HARD!) for five (5) weeks of full-time training at our Academy Campus located near our Corporate Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN.

Travel expenses are paid by us, along with hotel accommodations and stipend for meals, plus a bi-weekly paycheck.

Upon completion of the initial classroom phase, you will be paired up with a Mentor Technician in your market for further hands-on training before being released. Plus, after two (2) years you get to keep the tools.

To summarize:

· 5 weeks paid classroom training; all travel expenses paid.

· Free Technical Education

· Further hands-on training by one of our technicians and a full-time job with us as a Mobile Mechanic in your market.

· Real pay rates that you can afford to pay rent with and a predefined pathway for raises.

· Free set of tools.

Here is what you bring to the table:

· Desire to start a career as a Semi-Trailer Technician and become one of our Shop or Mobile Mechanics.

· Willingness and ability to train hard.

· Dedicate 5 weeks away from home to be with us in Indianapolis, IN.

· Maturity level to focus on the task at hand. This is not a summer camp, but a start of your career path.

· Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing trailers.

· Must be 21 to drive one of our trucks.

· High School Diploma or and equivalent combination of education is preferred, but not required.

· We conduct background checks, driving records checks, pre-employment drug testing and physical.
