SUMMARY
Assist, coordinate, consolidate, develop, and maintain environmental governance, programmatic documents, action plan recommendations, task and inquiry responses, and issue resolution action plans in support of our United States Air Force (AF)AF/A4C contract.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:

  • Coordinate, consolidate, develop, and maintain environmental governance and programmatic documents (e.g. AFIs, policies, procedures); action plan(s) recommendations; task and inquiry responses; and issue resolution action plan(s) under AF/A4C program management oversight
  • Provides detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings/forums and coordinating, consolidating, developing and delivering/presenting associated meeting materials (e.g. slides, after action reports, minutes).
  • Performs program analysis, supporting the planning, development and sustainment of environmental quality and restoration programs.
  • Engages, coordinates, and collaborates with AFISMC, Agile Combat support community, AF/A4, SAF/IE, OSD, and other strategic partners ensuring continuity of efforts, operations and strategic plans and programs are current and align.
  • Follows new regulatory and policy development on Emerging Contaminates and collaborate with AF/A4C, AFIMSC and stakeholders on developing and articulating positions and actions.
  • Analyzes data, develops reports, and presents findings to AF/A4C staff, Shared Tables, Integrated Project Team (IPT) members, General Officer Steering Group members, or other involved stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Provides guidance and program oversight to CE enterprise users on execution and implementation of environmental programs.
  • Provides technical analysis and support for development and maintenance of AF strategic goals, objectives, and sub-objectives within the environmental program.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
No supervisory or management authority.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related technical field and 5 years of experience in environmental program management. Broad knowledge and development of AF programs, policies, guidance, and regulations. Substantial knowledge of CE environmental quality and restoration mission areas. Experience within the Air Force or DoD (former military or DOD civilian) is desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Operational Experience with CE and AF environmental quality and restoration mission areas
  • Broad expertise in reviewing/implementing strategies, processes, policies and programs related to CE environmental program areas
  • Secret, or higher, security clearance is highly desired
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Exceptional soft skills and the ability to comfortably interact with senior level government and contractor personnel on an as needed basis
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Requires a Common Access Card (CAC) or the ability to obtain one through a federal investigation.
  • Broad knowledge and development of AF programs, policies, guidance and regulations.
  • Substantial knowledge of CE environmental quality and restoration mission areas.
  • Experience within the Air Force or DoD (former military or DOD civilian) is desired.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment. Work will be performed through a combination of telework and workdays in the Pentagon. Travel is required in support of client directed and approved requirements. Remote work is an option under certain conditions.
