Job Description
Under general supervision, performs routine and frequent manual and heavy labor tasks to properly consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost-effective practices and ESOL policies, practices and procedures. Job requires maintenance of records, accuracy and attention to detail, the ability to follow instruction and to work independently once proper training provided.Segregate and package material for transport along with completion of required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
May assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with appropriate regulations and policies, practices, and procedures.
Follow all Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) procedures as outlined in procedures and policies
Operate fork trucks and other heavy equipment when properly trained to assist in the movement of containers to storage, treatment, and/or loading/unloading of trailers
Collect samples of inbound waste for laboratory analysis per internal policies, procedures, and/or protocols.

Monitor and operate assigned machines and equipment under close supervision.
Provides labor to breakdown equipment upon job completionMay maintain records for DOT and State officials as assigned

_Able to exert moderate to heavy physical effort, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
__Able to work in a variety of weather conditions including inclement weather.
_Able to support various environmental scopes of work ranging from but not limited to:Confined space entry
Environmental Remediation
Waterway response
Hazardous Materials Clean Up
Work Weekend for Events
Assist with Lab pack and technical projects as needed

Qualifications
Required

High school diploma or GED
Minimum of one or more years related experience required
Forklift operation certification
Valid Driver's License

Preferred:

College degree in Chemistry, Environmental, Biology or related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience
Understanding of Chemistry
Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate and follow procedures.
Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
Proficiency with Excel and Word
The ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift and possesses safe driving record.
