Tantara Corporation, headquartered in Marlborough, MA, seeks an experienced and safety-oriented equipment operator to join its team to safely and efficiently operate a variety of equipment on construction projects in the state of Rhode Island. In addition to proper operation for excavation, concrete demolition, loading off-site trucks, backfilling and site restoration, we are looking for an operator who is proficient on an excavator and loader with some dozer experience. The ideal candidate will have a valid and current OSHA 40 HAZWOPER certification.

Heavy Equipment Operator Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must have a valid Rhode Island Hoisting License.
• Operation of a variety of large construction equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations
• Ensure proper operation of equipment by performing regular checks on functionality
• Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality
• Report needs for larger repairs to an immediate supervisor
• Abide by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures
• Commit to the overall safety of the work environment by taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration

Heavy Equipment Operator Requirements and Qualifications:

• Valid RI Hoisting License required
• Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
• Ability to maintain, inspect, and clean pieces of heavy equipment
• Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment
• Must be a US Citizen with documentation and a clean record to obtain access onto secure government facilities.
