Job Summary: You will routinely operate medium-weight Public Works motorized equipment in Road Maintenance and Storm Water under direct supervision. You will inspect and perform preventive maintenance on equipment, including checking and filling fluids, checking hydraulic levels, and lubrication to ensure assigned equipment's safe and appropriate use. You will load and haul equipment, trash, and debris, fill dirt and topsoil, and operate a tractor mower or other equipment. You may supervise a small crew and perform other work, including the operation of medium-weight equipment. Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, and two (2) years' experience operating motorized equipment of medium-weight or one (1) year of experience operating the primary equipment of the position; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. You must be able to work in all weather conditions and perform heavy manual labor, lifting, pulling, and manual transporting. You are required to provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during regular working hours. You must possess and maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License at the time of application. You must be able to obtain a Hazardous Materials Endorsement within six (6) months of employment and a GA Safety Council Flagger's License within one (1) year of employment.
