About this Position:
The Mold Maintenance Technician assures molds produce quality parts through preventative maintenance, maturation, repair, and tuning. Conducts daily troubleshooting.
Responsibilities include:
  • Work on daily activities as assigned by the Team Leader.
  • Respond to equipment/ mold downtime and recovery issues.
  • Monitor equipment/ mold for potential problems identification.
  • Perform quality and running efficiency improvements to the mold/ tooling.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance plans and activities.
  • Perform all phases of equipment troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and/ or pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain COP of work area and department issued tools.
  • Observe and promote all department safety policies.
  • Quality confirmation of completed work.
Who we are seeking:
Required Experience:
Minimum of three months experience in the mechanical and or Die Mold maintenance field (including Co-Op experience) preferred.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Other job specific skills:
  • Application of engineering and manufacturing principles
  • In-Depth understanding of manufacturing processes (Assembly Frame, Paint, Weld, Stamping and Plastics)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic 2D and 3D CAD tools
  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively both with customers and internal project teams
  • Business acumen in a technical environment
Additional Position Factors:
  • Workstyle: Onsite manufacturing environment
  • Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift long term.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, daily overtime, off shifts as needed, and sometimes on short notice.
  • Shop environment to include welding, grinding, handwork on plastic mold(s) and tooling.
