Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Founded in 1902, Pine Grove has the distinction of being one of the oldest golf courses in the United States.

Job description

Skills and Requirements

• Knowledge of gas and diesel engines
• Knowledge of hydraulic schematics and repair
• Conduct an effective preventative maintenance program to reduce mechanical failure and poor performance on all golf course equipment
• Ability to independently diagnose machine issues
• Repair of all golf course maintenance equipment
• Keep repair records on all equipment
• Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
• Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Effective collaboration and communication skills
• Your own tools and equipment are preferred
• Additional training will be provided upon hiring
• Operates light powered equipment in the maintenance of golf course putting greens, collars, tees, fairways and roughs.
• Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred

Working Conditions:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is often required to stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend and kneel for hours at a time without sitting.
• The employee frequently is required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, crawl, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
• Moderate exposure to all working elements
• Other duties as assigned

Pay is based on skills and level of experience.

Job Type: Full-time, year round

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
