In this role, you will:

The Equity Sales and Trading platform is seeking an experienced Equities Cash Sales Trader, Associate. The candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of evolving relevant market structures and have the ability to manage through an ever-changing equity trading environment. This candidate should be experienced in customer execution as well as assist with generating ideas and interact with customers in our trading business. The candidate must have experience in successfully developing new growth and product opportunities in a highly challenging regulatory environment.

This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation, and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Securities Sales Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Successfully completed FINRA Series SIE, 7, 63 and 57 exams to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
Desired Qualifications:
  • 2+ yrs experience supporting client execution of equities
  • 2+ yrs experience at top 10 bulge bracket investment bank
  • 2+ yrs Sales and Trading experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Economics
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales, cross sell, marketing or communications
  • Experience with Hedge and Mutual Funds
  • Experience assisting with client entertainment and events
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Pay Range:
  • Base pay range for this position in New York is 155,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD
  • May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards
Pay Range
$115,900.00 - $206,100.00 Annual
