JOB DESCRIPTION
The Esthetician provides one on one patient consultation to develop personal patient relations.
Summary/Objective
Under direct supervision, consults with customers on their skin care needs, recommends professional care products and services. An Esthetician delivers quality technical service with emphasis on the customer’s total look and is responsible for building a request client base through referrals and utilizing promotional materials available, while following all company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions

· Analyze skin type in order to figure out an appropriate plan of action.
· Select the treatment that best conforms to the needs of the customer.
· Provide education to customers regarding procedure to be performed.
· Give customers an overview of the products that will be used during procedures.
· Ask customers if they are allergic to any products or substances.
· If applicable steam skin to prepare it for facial treatments.
· Recommend home care regimes for skin care.
· Sell products to clients.
· Prepare treatment room prior to each procedure; make sure that the treatment room is in good condition.
· Ensure that all equipment used in therapies is cleaned and maintained at all times.
· Follow up on clients through telephone and email.
Competencies/Skills
· Proficiency with skincare.
· Retail Experience.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a medical office. This role routinely uses standard medical equipment such as syringes, as well as other office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Required Education and Experience
Licensed Esthetician.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Ability to lift 10 to 15 lbs.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Employee must be authorized to work legally in the United States on the date of hire and throughout duration of employment.
