Construction Estimator

Our fast-growing construction company is looking for a Construction Estimator to perform material takeoffs, cost estimates, and project budgeting for multiple construction projects. We need someone with strong math skills and excellent communication skills to present proposals, cost estimates, and material takeoffs to our construction team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in estimating. Other skills include:

Close attention to detail

Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects at once

Ability to read and navigate specifications and drawings

Develop and present information for budgets and reports

Job description:

The ideal candidate will be able to:

Using Planswift software, Excel spreadsheets, and other means, estimate time, labor, construction materials and product costs to determine overall costs for construction projects

Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers

Provide accurate and clear quantity material takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs for a project

Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand each project. Review plans and specifications for scope and value and ensure that plans and specs are complete.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in the construction industry needed

Proficient in MS Office (excel, word, power point, outlook) required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (preferred)

CPE certification from the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) (bonus)

Critical thinking, math skills and analytical skills necessary

Proficient communication and time-management skills are crucial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,929.18 - $110,992.33 per year
