Estimator II
The Client Services Estimator II will complete client requests to estimate Tubelite products from contract architectural drawings and specifications, client take-offs, and/or shop drawings provided by the client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accuracy: Provide detailed estimates from client provided elevation take-offs, stock length lists, or shop drawings from architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Profitability: Maximize sales by utilizing appropriate products for each project, reviewing project margins, and monitoring local market conditions
  • Customer Service: Build strong client relationships that include excellent, timely, communications. Proactively follow-up with clients and orders.
  • Consistency: Consistently follow established processes which includes maintaining detailed and organized records of internal and external correspondence
  • Timeliness: Respond to clients in a timely manner and maintain established lead-times for estimates

Principal Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Complete client requests to estimate modified and custom projects from architectural drawings, shop drawings, customer take-offs and specifications, using company provided estimating software
  • Follow established processes for the architectural take-off service
  • Track and monitor quoted versus ordered projects in assigned territory to help achieve acceptable sales goals and closing rates
  • Make appropriate recommendations to changes in the established process
  • Provide excellent customer service and coordinate product purchases for clients

Position Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5 years of experience estimating aluminum storefront and curtain wall projects from architectural drawings and specifications
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural drawings to provide detailed take-offs and estimates to external clients
  • Experience utilizing estimating software to prepare estimates is preferred
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal are imperative to be successful
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and committed to producing accurate and complete work
  • Basic understanding of engineering to utilize in-house programs for structural reviews
  • Excellent customer service skills, which include ability to work on numerous projects, answer phones calls, and prioritize workload
  • Proficient in the use of other Microsoft Office software
  • Minimum of intermediate level in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in ERP software, preferably SAP
  • Self-starter that has the ability to work with minimal supervision
