A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EVENTS FOOD SERVER - BARTENDER

As an Events Food Server - Bartender, you help to deliver exceptional service to guests. Working on-call, you come in as needed. You set up catering events, monitor and replenish bar stock, and provide attentive and friendly customer service while bartending. Your responsibility is to ensure that all guests have an amazing experience!

You're a total team player - always willing to jump in and help out with cleaning and other duties. Our facilities are always kept clean and orderly with you on the job. Being part of our dynamic team is a blast, and you love doing your part to help our guests have a good time, too!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN EVENTS FOOD SERVER - BARTENDER

Are you flexible with the ability to work on-call hours? Do you have exceptional customer service skills? If so, you might be perfect for this bartending position!

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 21+ years of age or older to serve and prepare alcohol
• 1+ years of server experience in the restaurant or food service industry
• Observes grooming, customer service, and dress standards
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.

Preferences

• Municipality of Alaska food handler's card or ServSafe certification contingent upon 30 days of hire
• Must have Training for Alcohol Professionals (TAP) certification or have been formally trained in alcohol management/serving.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Weather: Indoors, environmentally controlled.

Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually mild

Description of environment: This is an industrial kitchen located in a restaurant setting.

Physical requirements: Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift. Infrequently required to sit, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
