Light House Bistro is seeking an Executive Chef to join their team in Annapolis, MD to build and enhance their reputation for culinary excellence.

Job Duties:

• Work hand in hand with the General Manager in areas of overall restaurant operations and management.
• Manage kitchen operations, performance and staff
• Support the Advanced Culinary Training (BEST) program as part of ongoing skills development
• Incorporate regional ingredients into recipes and staple menu items
• Express culinary passion by mentorship
• Support an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure equipment is calibrated correctly and working efficiently
• Ensure the Bistro HACCP program is consistent with the Anne Arundel County Health Department guidelines
• Work directly with students and employees to ensure raw ingredients are not unnecessarily discarded but instead cross utilized into other recipes
• Update food and consumable costs in partnership with the General Managers, Restaurant Manager and Event Planner to ensure accurate menu costing
• Identify specific event needs such as custom menu development, event timelines, buffet equipment and staff requirements
• Integration of both Front of the House and Back of the House employees so there is no divide
• Documentation for all employees, to include write ups, tardy, call outs and employee reviews
