Josephine’s Place provides a welcoming space where women have access to classes, workshops and programs that enable them to grow in confidence, develop competencies and life skills, realize their potential, and uplift their families, communities, and future generations.
Established almost 20 years ago as part of the mission of the Sisters of Charity, Josephine’s Place is located in the center of Elizabeth, NJ. We are seeking a hands-on Executive Director who is passionate about improving the potential of women and is an experienced fund-raiser, organizational leader, and builder. Our future depends on the ability of the Executive Director to continue to grow the organization, create new markets, and manage the operations with a small staff.
Requirements:
· Proven success in fund-raising and Grant acquisition.
· Proven skills in communicating activities and results with a Board of Trustees.
· Proven skills in strategic thinking, planning, and budgeting.
· Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
· Proven ability to find and effectively work with volunteers and committees.
· Proven experience with program management.
· Proven ability to influence and engage community and business leaders.
· Must live within comfortable commuting distance of our Elizabeth location as physical presence every business day is a requirement.
· Proven ability to oversee the internal information systems.
· Ability to speak / understand Spanish is a strong preference.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
