Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad is currently accepting applications for the position of Experienced Tree/Brush Cutter. This position will work for the Facilities and Mechanical Supervisor and is a part-time seasonal position that will work approximately 6 to 8 weekends beginning in February and ending in April. The work schedule will typically be Friday through Sunday for 8 to 10 daylight hours but may change depending on the weather. Successful candidates will be paid between 20 and 25 dollars per hour based on experience and must be able to provide his or her own chainsaw and other necessary essentials for performing the job. Working Conditions: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions High degree of manual dexterity with good hand-eye coordination Ability to walk for frequent extended periods, sometimes on uneven surfaces and embankments Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling Work location: Along the railroad right of way between Romney and Moorefield Minimum Requirements: Must be 18 years of age Valid driver’s license High School diploma or GED Must meet all medical fitness for duty requirements for the position.
