Export Coordinator Job at GC AMERICA
Preparation of orders for export shipments including all required documentation, labeling, and notifications. Assist Warehouse Supervisor with supervision responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Prepares picking orders for shipping to pick and pack export and intercompany orders.
- Directs the daily activities of the Export Packers and the Shipping Clerk.
- Schedule the work in the Export Packing area based on the required ship dates on the orders. Work closely with Customer Service.
- Coordinates picking and packing of domestic orders. Direct the daily activities of all Shipping Dept. associates in the absence of the Distribution Supervisor.
- Prepares all export documentation including invoices, proforma invoices, packing lists, drafts, Insurance Certificates, Certificates of Origin, Restricted article Forms, Bills of Lading, labels, etc.
- Makes all bookings for export orders (freight forwarders, steamship lines, consolidators, UPS, Parcel Post and Air Parcel Post).
- Performs invoicing function in SAP for export orders.
- Handles general telephone inquiries relative to placing orders, tracing orders, invoicing, credits, etc.
- Audits export and domestic freight invoices for accuracy. Approves and forwards to Accounts Payable.
- Coordinates all import shipments with brokers.
- Coordinates all cycle counting activities for storage locations located at the Logistics Center.
- Performs end of day hazardous package inspections for all UPS hazardous shipments.
- Performs a monthly sweep of expired products and create NCIR’s as necessary.
- Conducts required HAZMAT and DOT training for all Shipping associates.
- Coordinates shipment of product and materials for industry trade shows.
- Performs end-of-day procedure including post goods issue and UPS manifest.
- Follows all Department and Plant safety rules and GMP guidelines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience working with freight forwarders, import brokers, and domestic carriers. Knowledge of export and import documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of DOT requirements for hazardous and non-hazardous shipments.
- Good writing/verbal communication and telephone skills, computer/word processing experience.

Pay: $32,167.85 - $92,141.78 per year
