Facilities/House Manager, Southampton Residence

REPORTS TO:
Property Manager

OVERVIEW OF ROLE
We are seeking an experienced leader for our team who will oversee facilities operations, manage facilities budgets, direct routine maintenance, respond to emergencies, manage contractors, oversee security and conduct site inspections for a large residence in Southampton, NY. The candidate would ideally have a background and/or knowledge of large residential building management, vendor management, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and high level audio visual equipment.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Manage all functions, equipment, and systems of the property
  • Send daily status reports to Property Manager & Estate Manager
  • Conduct and/or contract general repairs when needed
  • Perform daily inspections of the property & equipment
  • Perform and oversee routine and scheduled maintenance of property including but not limited to: painting, garbage removal, outdoor cleaning, landscapers, A/V and other house systems
  • Interface and manage any vendors related to the function of the house i.e. electricians, HVAC, and other contractors
  • Lock/open property at the beginning and end of each day or as directed by Property Manager
  • Respond to emergency calls
  • Assist with special events
  • Receive, log, and open packages
  • Organize and manage storage units
  • Ensure the readiness of the property for family’s use
  • Provide miscellaneous support to the overall needs of the family

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience doing similar work
  • College degree preferred but not required based on related experience level
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed and especially during peak season
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills. Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during demanding periods with a real sense of urgency
  • Proactive, motivated and “can do” attitude
  • Willingness to go above and beyond
  • Possess and no task is too large or too small mentality
  • Committed, mature and hard-working
  • Basic computer skills – Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Resides in Hamptons or surrounding Long Island area
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Comfortable working in a home that includes children and pets
