HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (carpentry electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned.

• Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities
• Change of all filters for HVAC as required
• Prepare conference rooms for incoming events; remove or rearrange furniture for events or classes, as needed
• Remove and properly dispose of all recyclable materials
• Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed
• On call maintenance for all facilities, 24/7
• Maintain exterior property, including snow removal
• Oversee daily trash removal and operate floor sweeper
• Cleaning/Disinfecting tables and counters, cleaning exterior entryway/cigarette receptacles, graffiti removal, cleaning/disinfecting community surfaces (handrails, water fountains, vending machines, etc.)
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned
• Must be able to work flexible hours

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

• Previous working experience in facilities maintenance
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
• Ability to work under minimum supervision
• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills and be customer service oriented
• Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, climbing, lifting, standing, heights, and confined spaces
• Exposure to temperature fluctuation, noise and weld & grinding smoke when working in production area.
• Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints
