GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB.
- Provide Emergency Family Assistance
- Salvation Army representative on various community boards related to Social work ministry
- Assist with grant and funding submissions
- Christmas seasonal assistance projects
- Maintain Family Assistance Databases
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Family Services Food Pantry Ensure pantry is stocked and organized.
- Facilitate all food pickups.
- Facilitate volunteers helping in the food bank to cover times when necessary.
- Oversee Utilities/Rent Assistance Develop & maintain appointment schedule with clients in emergencies.
- Keep track of and maintain social service spending.
- Make referrals and use community resources to provide assistance to those in need.
- EFSP Assist with the compilation of information necessary to submit the EFSP grant request. * Ensure that EFSP procedures and paperwork are being completed as assigned by CO
- United Way (See United Way file) Help to coordinate the completion of grants and reports for the following programs: Hands - Up Center (Emergency Assistance)
- Community Lunch Program
- Christmas Help to coordinate the general operations and facilitate volunteers for the following holiday programs: Coats for Kids
- Toy Program (Angel Tree, Toy Drives)
- Adopt a Family
- Christmas Assistance Sign Up and Distribution Day
- Manage other Social Services programs and initiatives whenever they are in operation.
- Represent The Salvation Army by networking with area social assistance agencies and attending meetings as required. Examples include: Coastal Healthy Communities Coalition
- Biddeford Area Resource Meetings
- Corps Council
- Advisory Board
- Ensure that reports and statistics including annual/monthly food bank social service statistical reports are being completed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
