As a member for the Feed Production team, the Feed Production Operator is responsible for operating machinery including mixers, extruders and formers in the feed production area.
Job Duties
- Accurately mix and produce all formulas including extruded, formed and cold formed products
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Responsible for food safety and cleanliness of all feed production areas and machinery
- Meet quality standard and SQF guidelines
- Participate in company-wide 5-S (Lean Manufacturing) program and training
- Operate forklift
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Able to lift 50 Lbs. on a regular basis
- Weekend availability
- 1+ years’ experience operating forklifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Team player
- Experience in manufacturing and production environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
