Interstates is growing, and we are currently seeking a full-time Arc Flash Data Technician to join our Interstates Engineering Team. Responsibilities:
  • Data Collection- Traveling to industrial jobsites to conduct electrical site audits by examining existing equipment and electrical systems
  • Report Creation- Organizing data from jobsite visit by utilizing software packages to create analysis reports on the electrical system.
  • Report Review- Collaborating with electrical engineers and designers to review reports and identify risk remediation or mitigation techniques
  • Label Installation- Printing and installing safety identification labels on equipment per the generated reports.
  • Electrical Design- Utilizing plant system knowledge to assist in the design or mitigation of risks within the facilities
  • Growing the team- training and mentoring future engineers and data collectors
  • In all aspects of the position, this role incumbent will carry out his/her duties in compliance with organizational policy and applicable laws.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
  • Or one to two years' related experience and/or training;
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel:
Travel will be required and will vary according to business requirements. Generally, travel will not be expected to exceed 75%.
