FLSA Status: Full-time Department: Distribution

SUMMARY

This position will challenge you with day-to-day deadlines, time management and look ahead
scheduling. You will be responsible for customer communication and sales management
communication. You will be in an independent work environment merchandising on a local route.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

  • Travel to distribution hubs, grocery stores and other retail markets during designated time
slots to ensure merchandising requirements are fulfilled
  • Keep awareness on store resets by maintaining strong communication with store personnel
and corporate contacts
  • Communicate with in-house delivery drivers to ensure deliveries are properly timed
  • Maintain a strong relationship with store receivers
  • Ensure products are well stocked, up to date and confirm the brand is appropriately displayed
  • Source appropriate and current pricing signage, displays and artwork from store or marketing
department
  • Communicate route changes to management
  • Tasks include: maintaining a well stocked fridge or shelf space, monitoring rotation of dated
stock, properly displaying the product for optimal movement/sale.
  • Maintain customer relationships by communicating product needs and upcoming marketing
programs
  • Communicate any customer issues, changes or needs to upper management
  • Meet or exceed all deadlines established.
  • Be physically present in the workplace on a daily basis as scheduled.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient use of tablets and similar electronic media
  • Ability to learn knew software program for company inventory management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Edits work for spelling and grammar,
presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish effective priorities.
  • Assumes a professional working relationship between clients, staff and management.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to adjust to changing schedules and priorities.
  • Effectively and efficiently execute duties with minimum direction to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule
format.
  • Must be punctual, have a good attendance record, and have reliable means of transportation

to work and accounts

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School
  • 2+ years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and

experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to produce a clean CA Driver’s License and evidence of insurance coverage. Driving a
company vehicle is a possible requirement of the position.

dust, fumes, smoke, and/or unpleasant odors while visiting prospects/clients.
