In the newly established position as Financial Analyst, your primary function is to support the US/CN Finance Manager with a focus on costs, sales, reporting and data analysis. This individual will have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills as well as a strong understanding of finance, manufacturing, cost accounting and inventory.
The Financial Analyst reports directly to the Finance Manager US/CN. This is a full-time position starting at 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. to ensure maximum time zone overlap with Kamstrup’s Danish Headquarters. This position will be based at the North American Headquarters in Roswell, GA and subsequently in Cumming, GA in late 2023/early 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities are (but not solely limited to):

Sales:

  • Support Regional Sales Managers with pricing inquiries for bids and quotes in North America.
  • Conduct pricing analyses as needed.
  • Complete monthly sales incentive calculations as needed by the Finance Manager.
  • Conduct sales data validation, particularly concerning order intake and sales.
  • Perform analysis of distributor partners and target management.
  • Ad hoc analyses as required.
  • Participate in ongoing educational opportunities to learn about industry trends and developments.
  • Assist in budget preparation as required.
  • Develop forecasts and analyses for company’s business development and growth initiatives.

Cost Accounting:

  • Provide business reporting and support for Managers on “cost center” level for North America.
  • Analyze revenue and cost drivers to enhance company profitability.
  • Provide monthly variance analyses of financial statement.
  • Monthly Payroll reconciliation.
  • Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for monthly inventory reconciliation and providing a slow-moving parts analysis in collaboration with the relevant Production Managers.
  • Conduct CM analysis and quarterly Product standard cost updates.

Business Support:

  • Support Finance Manager in weekly and/or monthly KPI reporting support for the US Management Team.
  • Strategic KPI reporting support.
  • Support external reporting with accurate and timely financial information.
  • Ad Hoc analyses and reports as required.

PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCES AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another business-related field required. MBA preferred.
  • 2+ years of financial analysis experience.
  • Strong accounting, finance, financial modeling, and analytical abilities.
  • Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
  • Ability to work through and develop key assumptions, limitations, and variables.
  • Qualitative and quantitative research and analytical abilities.
  • Independent thinking and resourceful problem-solving skills.
  • Drive to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
  • Manufacturing and cost accounting experience preferred.
