This position serves as a strategic business partner to Ghirardelli's marketing department and Strategy & Planning function, with ultimate responsibility for balanced financial support and oversight. The Financial Analyst – Strategy &Planning, Marketing Finance has ownership of the Marketing's new product development analysis, which will entail executing, and improving on recurring and ad-hoc reporting and analysis. This position has significant involvement in the annual business-planning/budgeting process, short- and long-term financial forecasting, analysis and decision support for the Marketing team and CFO, with the ability to provide relevant visibility and insight into key business drivers. The Financial Analyst – Strategy & Planning, Marketing Finance is required to manage through ambiguity, thrive in a frequently changing environment, and manage multiple concurrent projects. This position needs to be able to be innovative and think critically in order to drive improvement.
Requirements:- Execute, improve, and automate the recurring and ad-hoc performance reporting and forecasting.
- Support the Marketing team with profitability analysis of new products.
- Deliver insightful reporting and analysis to ensure Marketing understands profit drivers for their product portfolio and conduct post-mortem reviews.
- Support a monthly financial review with each marketing franchise to help them with decision support on new product and SKU rationalization opportunities.
- Deliver timely and accurate month-end close reporting at a marketing and total company level.
- Assist in the company budgeting process, including total company consolidation and reporting.
- Provide ad-hoc decision support work for Marketing Team, VP of Marketing, CFO, CEO, and Manager of Strategy & Planning, Marketing Finance.
- Support the Senior Finance Analyst and Manager of Strategy & Planning, Marketing Finance in developing a strong financial partnership with the Marketing organization.
