2nd Shift Hours are 3:30PM - 1:30AM ($21.00 per hour + a $2.00 shift Differential)
SUMMARY
The Finisher/Packager performs entry level work in a manufacturing facility and can be trained to run machines, load and package finish goods byfollowing all operating standards and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Packages finished goods following proper packaging standards and procedures
- Exhibits ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Unitizes, check counts and verifies length
- Ensures production areas are completed stocked with required material
- Performs in a fast-paced production environment
- Displays ability to understand manufacturing procedures
- Lifts heavy objects by hand and cleans work area, machines and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds to assist machine operators
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor
Safety
- Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures.
- Wears and maintains all required PPE.
- Keeps all assigned work areas clean at all times.
- Understands all safety devices and their operation.
- Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to operation.
- Safely operates all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications.
Mathematical Skills
- Basic Mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.
- Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer, dial bore gauge, and various other precision measurement equipment.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility - exposed to heat and cold.
- Personal Protective Equipment always required.
- Controlled Noise exposure.
- Activity level high - continuous overhead crane and forklift movement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be willing to work any shift within a 24-hour period
- Mechanically inclined

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
- The Military Equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Standing 8 or more hours per day
- Walking - Off and on, 4-6 hours per day
- Body Positions - Squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms
- Grasping - Both hands, up to 8-hours per day
- Sitting - None
- Pushing Effort - Carts of finished product and tools, up to 50lbs
- Pulling - Tools and finished product, up to 50lbs
- Climbing - ladders/stairs, occasionally
