Starting hourly rate of $16 or commensurate with experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Fitness Receptionist is responsible for greeting and directing members, guests and staff as they enter the Fitness Center and providing control of the front door location. This position will provide assistance and exceptional service to member's requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greets members and guests promptly, enthusiastically and with a smile to create a friendly positive entrance into the Fitness Center.

• Checks each member into the Fitness Center using the proper check-in procedures.

• Registers all guests into the Fitness Center using proper registration procedures.

• Schedules and ensures that appointments are directed to the appropriate entity in a prompt, professional manner.

• Answers phone by the third ring in a professional and courteous manner and uses proper phone greeting techniques.

• Addresses caller's requests and/or takes appropriate messages.

• Responds immediately to member requests, inquiries and concerns.

• Reserves time/makes appointments for massages, facials, special classes, and activities sponsored by the Fitness Center.

• Responsible for Fitness Center walk-thru as designated in the walk-thru log.

• Works when scheduled and adheres to company attendance policies.

• Willingly performs other duties as directed by the Fitness Director in a timely manner.

• Takes inventory of front desk supplies, beverage cooler drinks, and restocks promptly. (Contracts, folders, folder inserts, office supplies, etc.) Notifies management when reorder is necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be friendly, professional and a positive team player who can multi-task .

• Must have computer knowledge including MS Word and Excel.

• Experience working in a fitness center, spa, country club or hospitality environment is preferred.
