Our Network Operations team works around the clock running United’s global operation, safely, reliably and efficiently. From dispatching and routing our fleet to coordinating with maintenance line planning and crew scheduling, this team makes caring connections with our internal customers and ultimately, United’s customers. From pushback to landing, the Network Operations team is the eyes and ears on the ground no matter where in the world your United flight takes you.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle routing of aircraft to support operational requirements, planned and unplanned maintenance requirements and protect the flight schedule integrity, Focus on operations aircraft changes to ensure downline impact to our customers is minimal taking into considerations all options available when deciding on aircraft swap opportunities. Maintain a high level of focus to target routing aircraft for planned aircraft maintenance enabling us to meet future operational requirements.

  • Maintain a high level of focus to target routing aircraft for planned aircraft maintenance, enabling us to meet future operational requirements while ensuring aircraft routing impacts do not negatively affect corporate metrics
  • Handle aircraft routing to support planned and unplanned maintenance requirements and protect flight schedule integrity
  • Work closely with Tech Ops and NOC staff to ensure that all heavy check aircraft are routed to ensure that all future schedules have the accurate aircraft coverage
  • Maintain operational integrity in every aircraft routing decision and ensure the schedule is flown in scheduled aircraft configurations
  • Balance spare aircraft throughout the system
  • Handle the aircraft routings for all special events
  • Closely supervise inaugural flight events to ensure a smooth first flight
  • Continuously supervise the next 14 days of the airlines operation and adjust the aircraft flows to meet all operational needs
  • Lead all charter flying with the customers expectations
  • Work closely with Load planning to ensure accurate payloads are carried

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in an operational environment, minimum 5 years
  • Solid understanding in Airport Operations
  • Adaptability
  • Decision making skills
  • Communication & follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage conflict
  • Stress tolerance
  • Excellent technical proficiency
  • Must be willing and flexible to work any shift in a 24 hour / 7 day a week operation including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
