Fleet Superintendent - The City of Dodge City is accepting applications for the full-time position of Fleet Superintendent. The salary range for this position is $61,658 - $89,412, DOQ, plus City benefit package including paid health and dental insurance.
The Fleet Superintendent manages the Fleet Management Division, which is responsible for the repair and maintenance of City-owned vehicles and equipment, ranging from small engines to heavy diesel equipment, including non-motorized pieces of equipment such as trailers, spreaders and plows. Supervision is exercised over all activities of the Division including the work and professional development of Fleet mechanics and maintenance staff.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum of two (2) years of automotive maintenance technology education, business management or related field; ten (10) years of fleet operation experience, two (2) years of supervisory experience and five (5) years of mechanical experience, with one (1) year of welding experience. Must have a valid Kansas motor vehicle Class A commercial operator’s license (CDL) with endorsements for Passenger and Air Brakes or the ability to obtain within 180 days of hire.
Application review will begin immediately and position will remain open until February 28, 2023. Post offer physicals and substance abuse screening required. Must confirm INS employment eligibility (I-9) upon hire. EOE.
