Flex Security Officer Job at Securatex
OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION:
Under the direction of a supervisor, performs general security work to protect persons and property and to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents. Guards institutional, industrial or commercial property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties. This position requires
24/7 availability to serve multiple sites in a given region.
This position would require the Flex Officer to report to a number of sites throughout the greater Chicagoland area and work a flexible schedule.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of U.S. Currency.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense when carrying out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems in routine situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid State Registration as required.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Employees assigned to healthcare facilities must complete Healthcare Orientation training.

The employee may be required to monitor closed-circuit television and alarm systems, and operate two-way radios. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds or more if involved in patient transportation in a healthcare facility. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
