Food & Beverage Director

This role is a strategic business leader for a multi-property restaurant, café, bar and catering event teams. This person will be responsible for planning, budgeting, developing, implementing, and ensuring the quality of the food and beverage offerings. This role works with team members to develop and implement sales and profit goals as well as ensuring implementation excellent service and guest experience. The position oversees the Food & Beverage brand standards, targets customer needs, ensures team member’s success, while focusing on growing revenues and maximizes the financial profitability for each property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, budget and coordinate F&B activities for a restaurant, a café, bar and pool side service, and private catered events.
  • Ensure the quality, creativity and variety of the food and beverage offerings are on brand with each concept.
  • Oversee revenue achievement, cost control, labor management, purchasing, receiving, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Provide input and participate in the marketing efforts as needed.
  • Provide leadership during daily activities and special events to ensure a smooth running and well-executed operation.
  • Liaise with management in all team member matters including recruiting, performance management, training and coaching promote teamwork, productivity, and a positive guest experience.
  • Partner with Kitchen and Cafe Managers in developing menus and pricing.
  • Oversee the beverage and wine programs to ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards and liquor laws.
  • Select and liaise with top suppliers with a focus on local and diverse food and beverage offerings.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 4+ years food & beverage leadership experience in hotel and/or professional catering preferred.
  • Working knowledge of hospitality (restaurants, bar, café and/or hotel catering)
  • Financial Management of a P&L, analyze and interpret various reports (payroll, financial)
  • Proven ability to lead successful teams
  • Hopland Hospitality: Outgoing, enthusiastic, positive and solution oriented, with ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Computer literate, ability to interact with Excel, Word, Google Suite, Square, POS Lavu, Square and Wine Direct.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Spanish language competency a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree, Hospitality or Business Administration a plus

Our properties include the Thatcher Hotel, the Stock Farm and Campovida wines. The three sister properties operate with the intention of helping the community of Hopland thrive through the expression of our brand offers: restaurant and café, hotel visitation and stays, wine club enrollment and bar sales, as well as hosting of private events. Hopland Hospitality is a family owned and operated company and was established in 2010.

Pay: $4,800.00 - $5,500.00 per month
