Summary:

This position is responsible for plant manufacturing for all Production shifts, and is also directly involved with Sanitation, Warehouse, and Maintenance departments. Supervises operations through Shift Managers. Responsible for the effective utilization of employees, skills development, production, quality, housekeeping, safety, policy administration, employee relations, cost control and problem solving. Following food safety, quality and food regulatory requirements are critical when producing our product.

In accordance with all company policies, the key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

· Will direct production of quality products within established specifications and in sufficient quantities to meet product orders.

· Will observe operations in each area/each shift and alerts appropriate management of errors.

· Will monitor the quality of ingredients and the finished product periodically in each area on each shift.

· Will direct product rework program to assure reworked product meets established specifications and is completed in a timely manner.

· Participates in plant teams, providing subject matter expertise to improve our food safety program and the quality of our products.

· Investigates ways to reduce scrap, waste, out-of-specification, and contaminated ingredients. Explores ways to reduce the manpower and effort needed to produce products without sacrificing quality.

· Researches and proposes equipment and employee utilization for cost effectiveness.

· Compiles reports including downtime, production counts, product net, waste, ingredient usage and unit costs.

· Prepares and/or compiles operating reports for the CFO and CEO/President as needed.

· Will follow up on opportunities for improvement with appropriate management in all operating areas.

· Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance and procedure manuals.

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form

· Manage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion especially decisions impacting the operations of the company.

· Manage inquiries quickly, proactively and follow through on tasks to successful completion.

· Will supervise shift supervisors and other employees in an effective manner that will create a positive work environment.

· Prepare Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentations, agendas, reports, special projects, and other documents in support of the objectives for the organization.

· Ability to function well in high-paced environment with minimum direct supervision.

· Build and develop relationships with members of management team for efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations and help define new operational strategies when needed.

· Represent the company in a positive light through great follow through skills and sound judgement.

· Recognize operational weaknesses and help sharpen processes or develop new ones.

· Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required

· 5+ years of related experience

· SAP experience beneficial.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

· Will have exceptional attention to detail.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to efficiently communicate with internal and external customers.

· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

· Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

· Flexible hours as dictated by the needs of the business for projects and meetings.

· Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, ascend and descend stairs in temperatures that can be extreme, including both heat and cold.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
